Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 July 2026
1. Introduction
These terms of service (the "Terms") govern the rights and obligations between the operator of the Taxify service available at taxify.sk and app.taxify.sk (the "Service" and the "Operator") and every person using the Service (the "User").
By registering an account or using the Service, the User confirms that they have read and agree to these Terms. Operator contact: info@taxify.sk.
2. Description of the Service
Taxify is a tool for calculating tax liability on investment income (dividends, sale of securities, cryptocurrencies) under Slovak Act No. 595/2003 Coll. on Income Tax. The Service allows importing statements from supported broker platforms, automatic foreign currency conversion using ECB reference rates, and exporting documents for the tax return.
The Service is provided "as is". The range of supported platforms and features may change over time; the current status is listed on the Supported Brokers page.
3. The Service is not tax advice
The outputs of the Service are for information purposes only and serve as an aid when completing a tax return. Taxify does not provide tax, legal or investment advice within the meaning of applicable regulations.
The User is solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness and timely filing of their tax return. For complex or ambiguous cases we recommend consulting a tax advisor.
4. Registration and account
Using the application requires registration with a valid email address. The User must protect their login credentials and is responsible for all activity performed under their account.
The Operator reserves the right to cancel an account that violates these Terms, abuses the Service, or is inactive for a prolonged period; the User will be notified in advance of cancellation due to inactivity.
5. Free and paid features
Basic features of the Service are available free of charge to the extent described in the Pricing page. Extended features may be subject to a fee; the price and scope are always communicated in advance.
The Operator reserves the right to change the scope of free and paid features. Changes do not affect periods already paid for.
6. User obligations
The User agrees to upload only statements and data they are authorised to use, not to attempt to compromise the security or availability of the Service, not to use the Service for unlawful purposes, and not to present the Service's outputs to third parties as professional tax advice.
7. Liability and its limitation
The Operator exercises reasonable professional care to ensure the accuracy of calculations but does not guarantee that they are error-free or complete – the correctness of the result also depends on the completeness and accuracy of the imported data.
The Operator is not liable for damage arising from an incorrect or incomplete tax return of the User, from interruptions in the availability of the Service, or for indirect or consequential damages. Consumer rights under mandatory provisions of law remain unaffected.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, its source code, design and content are protected by the Operator's copyright. The User obtains a non-exclusive right to use the Service for their own non-commercial purposes (for accountants and companies, for purposes agreed in a separate contract).
Data uploaded to the Service by the User remains the User's property. The Operator processes it solely for the purpose of providing the Service (see the Privacy Policy for details).
9. Changes to the Terms
The Operator may reasonably amend these Terms, in particular due to changes in legislation or development of the Service. Users will be informed of material changes by email or in the application at least 14 days in advance. By continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect, the User agrees to them.
10. Final provisions
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. Any disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of the Slovak Republic; consumers also have the right to use alternative dispute resolution (e.g. the Slovak Trade Inspection).
Should any provision of these Terms become invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force. These Terms take effect on the date of publication.
